McQuain

Attorney Robert McQuain has been representing clients in all aspects of taxation for decades. McQuain has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law in the tax masters program at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and has frequently conducted seminars and program regarding tax matters throughout the metro area and beyond. He has chaired several committees involving taxation. Whether the matter is tax planning for a future transactions, civil tax controversy or a criminal tax investigation, attorney McQuain has a wealth of experience.

James Rosenbloom

James P. Rosenbloom is a shareholder in the law firm of McQuain & Rosenbloom, P.C., Kansas City, Missouri, and practices primarily in the area of taxation, including tax controversies and litigation with the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Rosenbloom also specializes in the area of divorce taxation, and regularly testifies as an expert witness regarding valuations of businesses and retirement plans, as well as tax and accounting issues related to divorce. In addition, he has drafted and qualified hundreds of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, and regularly handles divisions of non-qualified and government retirement plans. Mr. Rosenbloom is licensed to practice in the State of Missouri and the United States Tax Court and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Mr. Rosenbloom graduated from the University of Missouri School-Kansas City School of Law in 1982, and became a Member of the Missouri Bar that same year. He was a tax accountant at Alexander Grant and Company (now known as Grant Thornton, L.L.P.), one of the world’s leading organizations of independent, audit, tax and advisory firms. He joined the predecessor to his current firm, Boland and McQuain, in 1984, which firm later became known as Boland, McQuain, Block, DeHardt & Rosenbloom, P.C. The firm became known as McQuain & Rosenbloom, P.C. in 2019.
